Adopted Family All set for Thanksgiving!
Thanks to all that are contributing to our adopted family this Holiday Season. Thanksgiving is all set, just need to deliver. However, The Salem YMCA is accepting any kind of canned goods through the holidays. Anything people want to deliver for T-day (pies, fresh veggies, bread, etc..) needs to be here by Tuesday, November 22nd–for more info contact: melzwilson@hotmail.com
Salem Public School Parents Discussion
Sarah Morrill from the Salem Education Foundation presented information about the Salem Public School System and the goals of the Salem Education Foundation. Bethanne Cornell also provided great insight to the New innovation curriculum starting at Carlton.
If we missed you that night, I am sure we will have another followup discussion–answering questions that a parent may have when making decisions to send your child to the public school system.
Rockafella’s Supports Salem Public Schools
Eat for a great cause! During Restaurant Week Monday, Nov. 7 through Thursday, Nov. 10 Rockafella’s will donate 25% of food sales to support classroom grants made to Salem Public School teachers through the Salem Education Foundation teacher grant program.
Candy for the Troops

Sandart Table on the Common was a success
Our Sandart Table Fundraiser on the Salem Common was a great success! Mucho thanks to Polly from Tickled Pink for donating her time for facepainting!
Items Needed for May 15th Women’s Boutique
Our annual Women’s Boutique fundraiser is happening May 15th, 2011 at the Salem YMCA. The sale will happen between 9am and 2pm with babysitting provided at the Salem Children’s Museum next door. The last hour of the sale is 50 percent off all items!
We are still looking for items to sell as well as clothes hangers and clothing racks. Anyone wishing to donate items such as gently worn clothing, shoes and handbags can drop them off at Mighty Aphrodite at 244 Essex Street. If you are willing to lend hangers and/or racks, please get in touch with our boutique coordinator.
Free Day at the MFA from BOA
Bank of America cardholders can enjoy a free admission to quite a few area museums the weekend of March 5-6 (with a photo id). Participating museums include the Boston Museum of Fine Arts, The Cape Cod Museum of Art in Dennis, the deCordova Sculpture Park and Museum in Lincoln, the Worcester Art Museum, the Currier Museum of Art in Manchester NH, the RISD Museum of Art in Providence, the Providence Children’s Museum and the Museum of Work and Culture in Woonsocket.
